This post can be seen as a review of the James Wedmore Next Level Coaching program, but most of all I hope these insights can help guide you on your entrepreneurial journey! The past year culminated in James Wedmore’s Live Event (Business by Design Live) where hundreds of entrepreneurs from around the world meet. I had the opportunity to speak in front of them and share my story. Share my own breakthrough.
Neuroplasticity, or the brain's ability to change, is your ticket to freedom from the food obsession. Once you crack the code to how our mind works, you’re free. If you want to end the struggle with food once and for all, keep reading.
We carry so much crap within us. Old beliefs about what is possible and what we’re capable of achieving. We carry old stagnant thinking that keep us blinded from the light and stops us from dreaming big. I challenge you to drop those old beliefs and expand. To expand your thinking and challenge every belief you carry.
What I see as the main problem for people who never (or too slowly) achieve their goals and dreams is that they lack these three things: Decisiveness, Coach-ability and Resourcefulness. So what does it mean to be these three things? Let me break it down for you.
Mentors are everything. If you don’t have a mentor in your life then it’s time to get one. No man is an island and all that. Wondering how to know who would be a good mentor? Here are my top 5 favorite qualities to look for in a great mentor.
Are you constantly hustling but it seems like nothing gets done? Does everyone else seem to have it figured out but you? Let me teach you how you can accomplish your dreams without the constant struggle.
How do I get back up when I fall? How do I pull myself back when I’ve had a setback? Why do I feel devastated when I experience failure? Learn how to have a winning mindset despite your outside circumstances.
No matter what the gurus may try and say, you cannot control your thoughts. The good news is you can think and feel however you want. Truth. Learn how to let go of toxic thoughts and have the life you want in this important lesson.
Are you tired of struggling with the same old problems? You’ve tried thousands of ways to fix yourself yet you still end up in the same place. Stop the struggle and learn how to end the cycle with mindfulness.
The person who have decided you are, the person who CAN’T do this, or DOESN’T do that. This identity you have created for yourself, is NOT who you are. Once you can let go of that you can become successful and accomplish your goals.
Our instinct, and what we’ve been taught is that we, with our little human mind, need to think our way out of a problem. We have to think hard about what has happened and how to solve a problem. But no. That IS the problem.
Have you tried everything to stop overeating? Fad diets, food addiction groups, diet plans, you have tried it all. None of it works. Instead, the secret to stop overeating is in mindfulness. Mindfulness can give you the food freedom you want and deserve. Let me teach you how.
The most obvious thing to do (and what stress ”officials” tells you to do) is to DO less. The consensus is that we must change how we work, we must change jobs, we must go to ”stress therapy” and talk about all the reasons why we’re feeling stressed…so we can change everything that’s causing stress. But they are wrong
Are your limiting beliefs holding you back? Do you believe you’re not worthy? Not enough? That you’ll fail no matter what. That there’s no point in even trying because this is who you are? (Insert whatever limiting belief you can come up with here).
I believe avoiding so-called ”trigger foods” makes things so much worse. I believe the opposite in fact. I believe that every single time you put yourself in front of the things that triggers you the most, that’s when you grow the most as well. Expose yourself.
Weighing and measuring your food. Yikes, right? That is called "restriction" and it goes against all things intuitive eating. Intuitive eating as in eating when you're hungry and stopping when you're full. Eating what you feel like and not restricting your food choices.
You are not what you do. You’re more like a walking bag of habits. Everything you do, from brushing your teeth to the way you talk and walk, to how you prepare your breakfast and the way you laugh, is habitual behavior. Who you are, is not your habits, even though it might very much feel like it. You are not your habits. You are the one underneath it all.
Getting caught up in your thinking? Caught in the stories, your ego, the lower brain, keeps telling you? You notice you can't stop looking, staring, listening, hearing. It's such a compelling movie the voice in your head is showing you. You can't stop. You won't stop watching. It's scary and terrifying, but exciting and it pulls you in. Sucked in. Can't stop watching.
If we only could silence the voice in our head. Imagine that. No more worry. No more obsessive food thoughts or strong urges driving us to the peanut butter jar in the middle of the night. No more self-sabotaging or self-doubting. We'd be living our merry little lives in a never ending state of peace.
Imagine standing at a train station. You're watching all the trains come and go. They stop, open the doors, wait for you to jump on the train, then go to their destination. This is how living works. This is how thoughts work. Exactly like this.
You think we’re universes apart. You think I can’t possibly know you, not the real you, the you that you keep hidden. But guess what. I do. I see you. I refuse to stop pushing you out of your shell. I wanna hear you roar. I wanna hear you scream from the top of your lungs.
Don’t hit send. Really. Trust me on this one. I know you really wanna. I know you feel like “if I don’t, I’ll explode”, but trust me on this one. Don’t hit send. Sleep on it. Take three deep breaths and take a chill pill. Step away from the keyboard. Hit Pause.
Here’s some tough love. Food doesn’t love you. There, I said it. But, you protest, food is my best friend! When everyone is mean to me, food holds my hand. When life doesn’t go my way, food makes everything better. When I feel lonely, food keeps me company. Food loves me. Well, let me give you a reality check here my friend. Food loves you? Yeah. Not really.
YOU create your own problems. YOU create your own suffering. There. I said it. Yes. I just said it. Just like that. ”What? Wait! No, I don’t! Bad things happen to me all the time!” Did that thought pass through your head when you read the above? Then this blog post is for you, my friend. Keep reading and let the philosophy of ”No worries” change your life.
How the power of perspective changes how we face the obstacle. Struggling? Feeling stuck? Life is hard, and you are having a difficult time getting back on track? Then a little stoicism might be what you need.
Do you always find yourself back at square one? Do you find yourself in situations that seem to be repeating themselves? Do you have a feeling that “I’ve been here before” (insert situation with food, relationship or work)?
I believe I’ve spent the majority of my life being a mean bitch towards myself (sorry to be blunt but it’s the word needed here). I don’t know where I learned it or how that came to be, but my guess is that I’m not the only one on this one.
Thinking about getting serious about meditation? You’ve probably heard that you should be more mindful. But what does that even mean? How can a little mindfulness in your life give you everything you’ve always wanted? Keep reading...
Whatever we tell ourselves, we start believing. Maybe not the first time or the second time around. But after a while, we start to believe every single thing we tell ourselves. I used to think positive and empowering mantras were ridiculous. Oh boy was I wrong.
